The Massachusetts Society of Anesthesiologists (MSA), unified with ASA, focuses on promoting patient safety and fostering our discipline through education, representation, and advocacy. Members can improve the future as well as connect with other physicians from around the state.
To be a MSA member you must be a member of ASA. Use the link below to join ASA or reactivate a lapsed membership. Once ASA processes your application you will automatically be added to the MSA state component.

MSA membership is encouraged to grow to ensure adequate number of delegates and a strong representation. Funding ProgramsMSA is excited to provide a range of funding programs, scholarships, and recognition opportunities that support our members throughout their professional journeys. This includes offerings for medical students, residents, fellows, early-career physicians, young professionals, and active physicians.

We are excited to announce plans to introduce additional scholarships in 2025, specifically aimed at young professionals. The American Society of Anesthesiology (ASA) and the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) offer many grants and program frunding for our members as well. Physician anesthesiologists practicing in the U.S. and are in practice years 1, 2, or 3 are eligible to apply as active members in the Early-Career Membership Program.
Dues: $299 for up to 3 years of membership

Annual dues: $828
Including those serving active duty in the U.S. military, Veterans’ Administration, U.S. Public Health Service or Indian Health Service, are eligible for a 50% discount.
