The Massachusetts Society of Anesthesiologists (MSA), unified with ASA, focuses on promoting patient safety and fostering our discipline through education, representation, and advocacy. Members can improve the future as well as connect with other physicians from around the state.

To be a MSA member you must be a member of ASA. Use the link below to join ASA or reactivate a lapsed membership. Once ASA processes your application you will automatically be added to the MSA state component.

Representation

Representation and updates on state and federal legislative and regulatory issues. The MSA is a component society of the ASA. MSA membership is encouraged to grow to ensure adequate number of delegates and a strong representation.

US Early Career Physician Anesthesiologist-Active Member

Physician anesthesiologists practicing in the U.S. and are in practice years 1, 2, or 3 are eligible to apply as active members in the Early-Career Membership Program.
Dues: $299 for up to 3 years of membership

US Physician Anesthesiologist-Active Member

Physician anesthesiologists practicing in the U.S. are eligible to apply as active members.
Annual dues: $828

Phsyician anesthesiologists in service of the us government-Active Member 

Including those serving active duty in the U.S. military, Veterans’ Administration, U.S. Public Health Service or Indian Health Service, are eligible for a 50% discount.
Annual dues: $414

US Physician Anesthesiologists- AFFILIATE member

U.S. physicians not in clinical practice of anesthesiology.
Annual Dues: $363

Ph.D. Research Scientists-Affiliate Member

Retired Physician Anesthesiologist

Active or Affiliate ASA Members for 20+ years, or have given significant service to the society as defined by attaining the FASA designation

medical student

Individuals who are in full-time training or at an approved U.S. or international medical school.
Annual Dues: $10

non-physician anesthesia trainees-educational student member

Nurse anesthetists (NA), technologists and other anesthesia professionals in training.
Annual Dues: $26

resident/fellow-resident member

Open to U.S. physicians in full-time training in an anesthesiology residency or fellowship program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association.
Annual Dues: $31
